SPENCER — Lynx players Cael Nixon and Luke Firsching both cracked the Top-10 here Monday at the Bill Chambers Invitational hosted by Spencer.

Overall, the Webster City boys golf team finished seventh, as Clear Lake won the event. Eli Anderson of Clear Lake was medalist with a round of 72.

The Lions had an overall score of 303, with host Spencer second. Carroll Kuemper, Humboldt, Algona, Storm Lake and Webster City followed.

The Lynx shot a 331 to tie with Spirit Lake and Estherville-LC.

Nixon and Firsching both carded rounds of 79 at Spencer Golf and Country Club. Dawson Bertran fired a round of 85 with Cole Miller and Coyce Bertran eaching adding 89s.

The Lynx next hit the course at Oak Ridge Golf Course in Goldfield on Thursday for action vs. Clarion-Goldfield/Dows and Hampton-Dumont/CAL.
