Lynx boys fall to Bulldogs
HAMPTON — The Webster City boys tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Hampton-Dumont/CAL this week.
Nathan Wadell and Zayden Card picked up wins in singles competition for the Lynx.
Wardell, a junior, downed Jaxson Rew at the No. 2 spot, 10-8, while Card, a sophomore, won at No. 6 singles by the same score.
Hank Christeson battled Andyn White at the top singles spot, falling 10-6.
“Really happy for Nathan with his win,” WCHS head coach Mark Fisher said. “He has been working so hard lately in practice. This is his first year out and he has such a natural gift for the game.
“It was also exciting to see Zayden pick up the win.”
