Former Lynx standout Stoakes recognized
OLATHE, Kan. — Former Webster City standout Kelly Stoakes was named the Heart of American Athletic Conference player of the week recently.
Stoakes, a junior for MidAmerica Nazarene, hit .529 with five doubles, five RBI and an OPS of 1.380. The Pioneers concluded the week a perfect 4-0, sweeping Graceland and Peru State.
Stoakes has been a regular in the lineup for MidAmerica Nazarene since joining the program in 2023. She has played in 126 games with 125 starts, recording 156 hits for a batting average of .380.
Stoakes also has eight career home runs, 31 doubles, a triple, 92 RBI, 71 runs and a fielding percentage of .947 with just 23 errors on 261 chances.
The Pioneers played Cottey College on Tuesday and host Grand View on Thursday.
