The Webster City boys tennis team dropped a 6-0 decision in North Central Conference action to Iowa Falls-Alden here Tuesday evening.
At the No. 1 singles position, Hank Christeson battled, falling 8-4. Christeson and Nathan Wardell also scored three games in the No. 1 doubles match.
“Iowa Falls-Alden is a very veteran group with experience, which was the deciding factor in the end,” WCHS head coach Mark Fisher said. “We had some guys battling illness which did not help. The thing we really need is reps and practice time to continue developing our skills.
“Hank was competitive in his match. He’s been a solid figure and has shown a lot of improvement. He and Nathan also have started to gel together as a doubles team.”
