STORY CITY — The Webster City wrestling team competed in the Norsemen Duals on Saturday.

The Lynx went 2-2 and placed fifth. Hampton-Dumont/CAL was the team champion in the eight team field.

The Lynx beat Central Decatur, 41-35, for fifth. Webster City also topped Saydel (42-17). They lost to Estherville-Lincoln Central (71-6) and West Marshall (44-26).

Against Central Decatur, the score was tied at 35 going into the 144 pound match. Ridge Berninghaus pinned Beau Waugh in 3:05 to seal the victory.

Tristan Mason (157) went undefeated in all four of his matches. Mason had three falls and a decision.

Cael Alexander (285), Ty Bingham (106) and Gavin Wynkoop (132) had three victories each. Wynkoop had two technical falls and a fall.

Dawson Bertran (138), Eli Estlund (190), Carson Bertran (175) and Berninghaus picked up two victories a piece for Webster City.
