Stuck places 2nd at HIAC mat
STORY CITY — Parker Stuck made the finals and several of his South Hamilton teammates earned a spot on the podium here Friday at the Heart of Iowa Athletic Conference Wrestling Tournament.
Stuck was the runner-up at 190 pounds for the Hawks, who placed eighth overall. West Marshall was crowned champions followed by Roland-Story and Nevada.
After earning a decision in the semifinals vs. Carson Reed from Nevada, 9-5, Stuck suffered a tough 2-0 loss to Chance Georgius from Roland-Story for gold.
Holden Moore was third at 126 pounds with Hagen Klein finishing fourth at 113. Kyler Ziesman and Gaige Willis were each fifth, as Jacob Lutjen, Trace Junker and Brody Harris all placed sixth.
Moore earned a fall in 1:40 for bronze vs. Hunter Haley from Nevada.
