Lynx lose tight contest
The Webster City boys basketball team dropped a tight 57-56 contest to Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on Friday night.
Cole Miller led the Lynx (3-6 overall) with 18 points. Miller was 7-for-11 from the field, connecting on four three pointers.
Luke Firsching added 12 points on 6 of 7 shooting. Conner Peck was also in double digits with 10 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals.
Carter Mickelson checked in with eight points.
Huxley Lingenfelter led the Cowboys with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting and two three pointers. Chaz Lane and Johnny Lomeli were also in double digits with 14 and 13 respectively. Lomeli had three three pointers.
Bryce Lindaman had 14 rebounds, while Lane had nine and Lingenfelter pulled down eight.
The Lynx are back in action on Monday when they host Nevada at 7:45 p.m.
