Lynx girls fall short vs. Wildcats
HUMBOLDT — The Webster City girls battled to keep it close with Humboldt here Friday night in North Central Conference play.
In the end, though, the Wildcats had too many weapons, as they posted a 59-36 victory.
The Lynx trailed by just three after the opening quarter, but Humboldt went on a 15-6 run in the second to go up 30-18 at the break. They outscored Webster City in the third, 14-10, as Morgan Mann posted a game-high 24 points.
For the Lynx, Olivia Gallentine had 16 points.
Webster City hosts Iowa Falls-Alden on Tuesday and travels to Algona next Friday.
