Hawk boys can’t keep pace with SV
GOWRIE — The South Hamilton boys could not overcome a slow start, falling here Monday night to Southeast Valley, 81-28.
The Jaguars raced out to a 21-10 lead after the first and held a 42-13 advantage at the half.
Grant Larson led the Hawks with nine points while Benjamin Swenson added six.
Liam Ealy contributed four points, with Garrett Johnson, Ryan Oskvig and Jose Babcock each scoring three.
Larson and Babcock grabbed six rebounds a piece. Ealy pulled down five boards.
Larson chipped in three steals as well for the Hawks, who were plagued by 28 turnovers.
Drake Warland had 28 points for the Jaguars, who have won six in a row overall.
South Hamilton takes on No. 9 Nevada Friday night. The varsity boys tip off at 7:45 p.m.
