South Hamilton boys lose at home
JEWELL — The South Hamilton boys were unable to get going here Friday night, falling behind early before dropping a 46-29 decision to West Marshall.
Grant Larson scored 11 points and Benjamin Swenson added nine as Lyndon Johnson grabbed seven rebounds and blocked two shots for the Hawks (0-7).
The Trojans (4-3) continued to apply pressure, taking a 34-19 lead into the break. Neither team found their offense in the third, scoring just eight points total, with West Marshall going on a 10-4 run in the fourth to finish things off.
Lucas Barnes had 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the Trojans, with Cash Johnston adding 15 and nine.
Next action for South Hamilton will be on Thursday, Jan. 2 when they take on St. Edmond in Des Moines from Wells Fargo Arena as part of the Iowa Wolves High School Hoops Series.
