The Webster City wrestling team dropped a pair of North Central Conference duals last Thursday.

The Lynx fell to Hampton-Dumont/CAL, 46-16, and Clarion-Goldfield/Dows, 52-27.

Picking up wins vs. the Cowboys for Webster City were Tristan Mason, Blake Berninghaus, Carson Bertran, Cody Elliott and Dawson Bertran. Mason, Berninghaus, Elliott and Dawson Bertran all recorded falls with Carson Bertran claiming a 12-7 decision.

Dawson Bertran erased a big deficit before picking up his fall vs. Kolton Hefti at 138 pounds in 4:37.

In the dual vs. Hampton-Dumont/CAL, Mason scored a 57-second fall at 150 pounds with Carson Bertran picking up a major decision at 175, 9-1.

Eli Estlund and Cael Alexander had decisions at 190 and 285, as Estlund won, 8-3, and Alexander won, 3-1.

Elliott picked up a junior varsity win for the Lynx with a major decision vs. the Bulldogs, with Jake Rohmiller and Peyton Weisberg each scoring junior varsity falls vs. the Cowboys.

Webster City was scheduled to compete in the Tiger Duals hosted by Grinnell this past Saturday, but inclement weather forced the event to be cancelled.

Next action for the Lynx will be Thursday when they host Clear Lake in more NCC action. Webster City heads to the Don Miller Invitational in Fort Dodge on Saturday.
