JEWELL — The South Hamilton wrestling team dropped their first dual of the season, falling to Nevada last Thursday, 63-12.

Gaige Willis earned a fall at 215 pounds while Jacob Lutjen was awarded a forfeit at 126 for the Hawks.

Willis scored his pin in the first period, besting Zaydeen Shute in 1:31.

South Hamilton was scheduled to compete at the Saydel Tournament this past Saturday, but inclement weather led to the event being cancelled.

They now return to the mats on Thursday at West Marshall for a triangular before heading to the Jim Kinyon Norsenmen Invitational on Saturday in Story City.
