Hawks can’t slow IF-A or Nevada
JEWELL — The South Hamilton boys lost two straight home contests on Thursday and Friday.
The Hawks (0-3 overall) fell to Iowa Falls-Alden on Thursday night, 67-48, and lost to Nevada, 65-20.
Freshman Benjamin led the Hawks against the Cadets with 12 points. Sophomore Lyndon Johnson also reached double figures with 10 points. Johnson added had eight rebounds.
Junior Sam Koehnk had nine points and five rebounds.
The Hawks hit six three-point baskets.
Kale Kalous had 21 points for the Cadets and Karsen Kalous had a strong floor game with 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists and eight steals for Iowa Falls-Alden.
Carson Allen had 12 points.
Koehnk led the way versus Nevada with 10 points and five rebounds. Grant Larson and Jose Babcock came up with two steals a piece.
The Hawks are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Saydel. Varsity boys tip is slated for 7:30 p.m.
