Hawk boys ready for final pre-Christmas stretch

JEWELL — The South Hamilton boys have two chances this week to earn a win, as they host Roland-Story on Tuesday before closing out 2024 back here vs. West Marshall on Friday.

Last week, the Hawks suffered a tough 93-31 setback to Grand View Christian, as the Thunder raced out to a 28-6 lead. Jose Babcock led South Hamilton with 11 points, Grant Larson added nine and Benjamin Swenson chipped in seven.

Lyndon Johnson had eight rebounds with a block and a steal for the Hawks, Babcock added five rebounds and Swenson four. Babcock and Swenson had a combined seven offensive rebounds.

Roland-Story enters the matchup looking for its first win of the season, just like SHH. The Norsemen have won five of the last six and lead the series 20-16 since 2008.

South Hamilton has won the last two against West Marshall and is 14-4 vs. the Trojans since the start of 2006.

Starting at $3.46/week.
