Hawks travel to Ogden

OGDEN — The South Hamilton football team looks to keep the momentum going when they head to Ogden this week.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Friday night.

The Hawks improved to 4-1 overall with another district win last week, blasting past Nodaway Valley, 66-14. South Hamilton opened league play with a 56-8 triumph over West Central Valley the week before.

Nick Severseike continues to lead the way on the ground, as the junior has 572 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 45 carries. Kolby Hodnefield has 326 yards and both Noah Gunderson and Ashton Williams have over 200.

As a collective unit, the Hawks have rushed 219 times for 2,033 yards with 29 touchdowns, averaging 9.3 yards per carry.

Ogden (3-2, 1-1) topped Grand View Christian for its third consecutive win two weeks ago before falling to Woodward-Granger, 45-0, last Friday. They also picked u wins over Perry and Manson Northwest Webster after opening the season with a loss to ACGC, 20-19.

Senior quarterback Colby Rohe is 28 of 66 for 500 yards with six scores, Cayden Dudley has 340 yards rushing and four TDs, and Keaton Westberg has caught eight passes for 243 and a pair of touchdowns.

This marks the 12th meeting since 2008 between these two teams, with South Hamilton having won each of the last four and eight of 11 overall. The last meeting was in 2019, with the Hawks prevailing, 46-20.
