Marlene Anderson

Marlene Anderson, 89, of Webster City, died on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 9:15 – 10:15 AM followed by the funeral service at 10:30 AM. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Marlene was born on September 7, 1935, in Duncombe, Iowa, to Howard and Thelma (Snell) Jensen. She attended Webster City High School, graduating with the Class of 1954. On October 30, 1955, Marlene was united in marriage to Roger Anderson in Webster City. Together, they farmed in the Kamrar and Blairsburg areas, building a life centered around family, hard work, and faith.

A lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Marlene was a devoted farm wife, loving mother, and caretaker to many throughout her life. She was known for her incredible baking skills, making hundreds of pies for the men’s birthday club in Webster City. Her kindness, steady presence, and generous spirit touched countless lives.

Marlene’s family includes her children: Janet (Larry) Holtkamp Of Webster City, Iowa, Rhonda (Tom Nixon) Pruismann, of Williams, Iowa, Nancy (Chris) Walterman, of Santa Clara, Utah; and Brad (Shelly) Anderson of Blairsburg, Iowa; grandchildren: Jerry Walterman, of Webster City, Iowa, Janelle (Zac Alphs) Walterman of Gowrie, Iowa, Rachel (Bret) Morley, of Santa Clara, Utah, Gina Walterman, of Brooklyn, New York, Chelsea Walterman of Santa Clara, Utah, Avis (Adam Schnell) Pruismann of Williams, Iowa, and Jake Pruismann of Williams, Iowa; great-grandchildren: Leigha Walterman, Lily, Keaton and Owen Morley, and Joetta Schnell; sister Joyce Hill; and brother Terry Jensen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers: Duane, Daryl, Gary, Marvin, and Bud; and sisters: Dorothy, and Jerry.
