Andrea Sanders

Andrea Yvonne Sanders, 76, of Rochester, MN, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Palm Harbor, FL, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 4, 1949, in Webster City, Iowa, Andrea was the beloved daughter of Robert and Marjorie (Sandal) Sealine. A proud graduate of Iowa State University, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Zoology, setting the foundation for a life filled with creativity, curiosity, and compassion.
Andrea’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with art, family, and a profound appreciation for nature and animals. She was the talented co-owner and artist behind Sanders Portrait Art, where her work touched many and brought cherished moments to life. After retirement, she continued to share her artistic spirit with her community and family.
Her love for life extended beyond the canvas. Andrea had a passion for cooking and gardening, found joy in skiing and kayaking, and had a keen eye for photography. A talented saxophonist and avid motorcyclist, she lived fully and boldly. Andrea was especially devoted to her Airedales and shared her heart and home over the years with many beloved pets–Dominic, Jiggs, Kelly, MacGyver, Tucker, Spencer, Reggie, and Riggs.
She was first married to Joe Verbrugge from 1970 to 1987 and later found her soul mate in Curt Sanders, whom she married in 1989. Together, they built a beautiful life full of love and adventure.
Andrea was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind her loving husband, Curt Sanders; her children, Brad Verbrugge and Tammy (Klobnak) Verbrugge; and her cherished grandchildren, Allyson, Zachary, and Zane Verbrugge. She was preceded in death by her parents.
