Jane Adams

Jane Adams, 77, of Webster City, died Saturday, February 22, 2025. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Jane Ann Branyard, daughter of Arnold and Phyllis (Lee) Branyard, was born March 8, 1947, in Webster City. She graduated from Webster City high school in 1965. Jane attended the University of Northern Iowa and received a bachelor’s degree in social work in 1970, followed by her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Stout. On June 29, 1968, she was united in marriage to Jack Adams. To this union, two children were born, Zach and Jake. The couple later divorced. Jane had proudly worked as a social worker for Hamilton Hospital, Dr. Bernard, Dr. Latella, Community Family Resources and YSS for many years prior to her retirement. She was especially proud of her part in the creation of the new YSS Center in Webster City and considered that the highlight of a long career helping people.
She is survived by her sons, Zach (Michelle) Adams of Webster City; Jake (Carrie) Adams of Ames; grandchildren, Xavier, Chandler, Henry and Violet Adams; step-grandchildren, Tony Pennington, Jessica (Stephen) Chambers, Kimberly Spangler; sister, Dee Willson of Winterset, and best friend, Carol Zills of Webster City.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Phyllis; sister, Sandra Kent and brother-in-law, Denny Willson.
She was a master gardener and took great pride in the flowers she planted. Jane was an animal lover, always having a cat, dog and horse to care for. She cherished the friendships she had with Carol, Libbey and Elaine, but most importantly she loved time spent with her sons and grandchildren.
