Patsy Larson

Patsy Hollingsworth Larson, 87, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025 in Florence, AZ. She was born on September 5, 1937 in Des Moines IA to Ward and Hazel Sumpter Hollingsworth. She graduated from Blairsburg High School and went on to earn a BA in English from the University of Northern Iowa. Patsy married Paul Larson on July 1, 1961 at Nellis Air Force Base Chapel in Nevada. Patsy and Paul moved to Olivia, MN in 1969. She began substitute teaching and so enjoyed her many years at Olivia High School (forever a Wildcat!) She also served as town librarian for several years and often said because of her love of books that she would have gladly done it for free. Patsy and Paul moved to Tucson, AZ in 1985. After Paul's death in 2018, Patsy later moved to Florence, AZ. Patsy is survived by her daughter Christine (Byron) Tucker of Florence, AZ, son David (Marcia) Norvell of Largo, FL, grandsons Marshall (Oriah) Tucker of Medford, OR, Quinton Tucker of Port Angeles, WA, and Michael Larson. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Larson and son Erik Larson. A special thank you to all the kind people at Savior Hospice. Patsy felt truly blessed to be surrounded by so many loving friends and family the entirety of her life. In honor of her wishes, no services are planned.
