Annette Neubauer

E. Annette Neubauer passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024. She was a beloved matriarch whose life was marked by love, dedication and an unwavering commitment to her family.

E. Annette Neubauer, was born on February 23, 1935, in Greene, Iowa, to Victor and Leah (Toombs) Ebling. She graduated from Dumont High School in 1952. In February of 1982, Annette was united in marriage to Delroy Neubauer.

Throughout her life, Annette was known for her warmth, kindness, and generosity. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved, creating a home filled with laughter and warmth. Her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Annette's life was a testament to the power of love and family. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we say goodbye, we hold on to the lessons she taught us and the love she shared so freely. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a lasting legacy of a life well lived.

Annette Neubauer is survived by her children, Linda Firkins, Harlan Akin, Kathleen (Maynard) Smith and Alan Akin. Her family extended through her stepchildren: Steven Neubauer, Gina Nilles and her husband, Dennis Nilles, Tony Neubauer and his wife, Jan Neubauer, Terry Neubauer, Mark Neubauer and his wife Meg Neubauer. Annette's legacy is further carried on by her 22 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren who were a source of immense pride and joy for her. Her family was her greatest achievement, and she cherished every moment spent with them celebrating their milestones and supporting them through life's challenges. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Leah Ebling, and her brothers, Leon and Wendell Ebling. She was also preceded in death by her cherished husband, Delroy Neubauer. Together they built a family that became the cornerstone of her life.
