Jeff Helvick

Jeff Helvick, 67, of Webster City, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Israel Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center in Webster City, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City.
Jeffrey Earl Helvick, son of Donald and Virginia Martens Helvick, was born December 24, 1956, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Dayton Community Schools in 1975 and attended Iowa Central Community College. Jeff worked at Hy-Capacity the majority of his working years. He enjoyed music and was a musician playing several positions in bands — such as guitar, drums and keyboard.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily (Bubba) Chambers of Webster City; grandsons, Carter and Brayden; mother, Virginia (Harlan) Adams of Boxholm; stepmom, Tammy (Brad) Rees of Bondurant; brothers, Kenneth Helvick of Ames, Daniel (Rikki) Helvick of Minneapolis, sister, Nancy McFarland of Boxholm, and several uncles and nieces.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Donald; nephews, Andy and Joe McFarland; his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Memorial contributions will go toward college savings for Jeff's grandsons Carter and Brayden.
