Anne Magers

BELDING, Mich. — Anne M. Magers 73 of Trufant passed away Wednesday November 30, 2022, at Green Acres in Greenville. Anne was born on July 20, 1949, in Belding, the daughter of Leo and Virginia (Doran) Albert. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1967. Growing up on the Albert Farm, Anne learned at a young age the value of hard work, understanding the cycle of life and liked the planting and harvesting of the many crops they grew. These traits stayed with Anne her whole life. She was married on September 28, 1968, to Gerry Magers. In earlier years she worked at Electrolux in Belding and later, when Gerry’s many promotions required moving, Anne worked at an insurance company in Iowa. After living later in Ohio and Missouri, she and Gerry retired to their home in the country near Trufant. She had a number of hobbies and interests. She enjoyed all sports activities, especially golf, working in her garden, quilting and photography. She really enjoyed quilting and has sewn hundreds of quilts. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville. Anne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1995. Since then, she has fought a long and hard battle with the disease and never complained or felt pitied. She worked hard to maintain her independence and always wanted to do for herself as much as she could. She had a love of family and friends and will be greatly missed for the lovely person that she was. Anne is loved and survived by her children, Charles Magers (Chris Sullivan) of Trufant, Charity (Drew) Huffman of Lakeville, MN., her grandchildren, Chase Magers (Rori Wilson), Avery Huffman, Addison Huffman, Benjamin Huffman, her great grandson, Eli Magers, her siblings, Peggy (Tim) Wood of Belding, Jane French of Hessel, Betty (Mike) Springsteen of Moran, Leo (Nancy) Albert of Stanton, Phillip (Sue) Albert of Belding, her sister in law, Olga Albert of Belding, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerry, two brothers, Stephan in infancy and Larry.
