Dementia and reducing its risks is the topic of April SALT meeting

The April Seniors and Law Enforcement Together — SALT — meeting will be held Thursday, April 3, beginning at 9 a.m. in the clinic boardroom of Van Diest Medical Center.
The entrance to the clinic board room is located along the sidewalk between the hospital and the clinic.
Refreshments will be served.
VDMC personnel will provide free blood pressure checks.
The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. with announcements from local law enforcement and officials from area agencies, and upcoming events from around Hamilton County.
Jade Williams, ARNP, AGPCNP-BC, an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with VDMC, will present the program on dementia and reducing its risk through lifestyle changes, education and proactive strategies.
SALT meetings are free and open to the public. The meetings are held bi-monthly at locations throughout Hamilton County.
