JunqueFest returns to downtown
JunqueFest is returning downtown this year, according to Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce Director Anna Woodward. This year it will be on May 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Downtown is expected to become a shopper’s paradise, featuring one-of-a-kind antiques, vintage collectibles, and artisan goods. Visitors will browse through a wide selection of vendors, enjoy delicious bites from a variety of food trucks, and explore the downtown retail businesses participating in the festivities. Plus, there will be live music on Availa Plaza.
JunqueFest is organized by the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce. For more information, visit visitwebstercityiowa.com or call 515-832-2564.
Those wishing for an indoor space in a local downtown business can call the Chamber office to put your name on the list to be matched up with a downtown retailer. Those indoor spaces will be getting matched up starting at the end of March.
The annual Memorial weekend festival has most recently been staged at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds.
Not so this year.
“Looking ahead, I’m so glad JunqueFest is moving back downtown,” Woodward said. “We see this as an opportunity to drive people back into our local businesses.”
The first JunqueFest in Webster City was in 2016.
