ALGONA — A fatal collision Monday evening killed a Webster City man and injured another.

The Iowa State Patrol reported that Andres Garcia Esposito, 51, was driving a 2009 Ford Edge westbound on 210th Street in Algona. Daniel Eugene Murray Jr., 46, also of Webster City, was eastbound in a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia.

According to the crash report, Esposito crossed the center line and hit the semi head-on in the 1700 block of 210th Street, east of Algona, at approximately 7 p.m.

Esposito was killed in the crash. Murray was taken by ambulance to Kossuth Regional Health Center.

The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
