The HVAC — Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning — system for the Webster Theater was lifted into position Tuesday, which is a big step forward for the renovation of the building that was damaged when fire gutted a building next to it in November 2023. The system will be turned on some time this week, according to Jeff Pingel, president of the HERO board. HERO — Help Entertain and Restore Organization, the nonprofit that runs the historic movie house, continues to welcome donations to help pay for the work that insurance didn’t cover.
