You will find Christmas trees decorated in the “Songs of Christmas” this year at the Festival of Trees, hosted by the Webster City Women’s Club at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm Street, Webster City.

The Festival of Trees will be open to visitors this week on Friday, December 6, from 5 to

7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, December 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will also be open on Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be a contest centering on the question: What song goes with what tree? Kids can participate and look for the elf that’s hidden somewhere in the house.

It’s a magical time for children to see this historic house in its holiday glory.

There will also be a special display of nativity sets.
