CJ Bio America, Farm News Ag Show returns

Annual event is in its 22nd year

Todd Anderson, left, and Andy Sheffield of CJ Bio America were on hand as show sponsors for the CJ Bio America Farm News Ag Show during the show’s two-day run at the Webster County Fairgrounds in 2023.

It’s a show 22 years in the making and is sure to offer up another full lineup of great speakers and exhibitors to the Webster County Fairgrounds as the Farm News Annual Ag Show returns on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7.

“We are very happy to be bringing this back for the public, and we hope people come out and have a great time,” said Dana Lantz, advertising manager for Farm News. Farm News is a sister publication to the Daily Freeman-Journal.

“We truly appreciate the support of our major sponsor, CJ Bio America, as well as all of the sponsors and exhibitors who work so hard to make this a great show,” Lantz added.

CJ Bio America is now in its third year as major sponsor. The 22nd annual show will welcome many favorites back, as well as introduce a few new features for farmers, ag business people, and the general public.

Alexis Stevens, farm management specialist for ISU Extension, will kick off the show at 9:30 a.m. Friday with her program titled From Field to Firewall: Protecting Ag in the Digital Age.

Next up will be Kapil Arora, field agriculture engineer for Iowa State University, speaking on Managing Soil Compaction on the Farm. His talk gets underway at 11 a.m. Friday.

The afternoon resumes with a 1 p.m. presentation from Nathan Stein, owner of Ag Strike at Barnum. Stein’s presentation is titled The Sky is Ours: Coordinating and Launching Air Strikes on the Farm.

Finally wrapping it up on Friday will be Justin Helickson, national account manager for Agro Eco Power speaking on ECM Training: Going the Extra Mile So You Don’t Have To.

Throughout the day on both Friday and Saturday, the Texas Toast and Tots food truck will be on the ground serving meals.

On Saturday, Ag Show favorite David Kruse, president of Commstock, is back for a keynote address at 8:30 a.m. His talk is titled What Works and What Won’t: Ways to Cushion the Landing in the Farm Economy.

Come early on Saturday for another favorite, a free pancake breakfast served by Chris Cakes and sponsored by Webster County Farm Bureau.

Again this year, there will be great drawings in which visitors can participate. Northland Travel is sponsoring a three-night stay for two in Branson, Missouri. Brown’s Shoe Fit will have $50 gift card drawings each hour, and there are also two 55-inch flat screen TVs to be given away.

Exhibitors are working hard to make for an interesting show for all.

L.A. Wildwood Creations Chainsaw Artist will even be on hand both Friday and Saturday with his artistic demonstrations to enjoy.

Starting at $3.46/week.
