JEWELL — Registration for the fourth annual Clear Lake Sailors 5K Fun Run/Race is now open.

The 5K will be held on Saturday, October 26. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. at the South Hamilton High School north parking lot. The race starts at 9 a.m. The registration fee is $20. Children ages 6 and under are admitted free. Register by October 11 and receive a free t-shirt. You may register online here at https://form.jotform.com/siles/clear-lake-sailors-5k.

This year’s event will take place Halloween weekend, so of course there will be a costume contest. Best costume wins a prize.

This is a Fun Run/Walk, but new in 2024: The top three finishers win a prize. Light refreshments will be available at the end of the route, provided by sponsors.

For safety, the route will be monitored at various locations by 4-H club members, parents and volunteers, as well as sag wagon support.

All proceeds raised from this event support the Clear Lake Sailors scholarship fund.
