WRIGHT COUNTY — Iowa Specialty Hospital-Belmond and Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion both recently received a five-star rating as a top hospital in Iowa for patient experience by Becker’s Hospital Review.

The two hospitals were among 13 hospitals in Iowa chosen for this recognition.

273 hospitals were ranked as the best in the nation for their patient experience, according to CMS’ Provider Data Catalog.

CMS shares 10 HCAHPS star ratings based on publicly reported HCAHPS measures. Every hospital on this list received a five-star summary rating, which is the average of the star ratings of the 10 topic-specific HCAHPS measures, including nurse and physician communication, care transitions, and cleanliness.

The star rating is based on survey data collected from hospital patients between October 2022 and September 2023. The figures were released on July 31, 2024.

Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics, located in north central Iowa with campuses in Belmond and Clarion, has outreach clinics in Ames, Boone, Clear Lake, Des Moines, Fort Dodge, Garner, Hampton, Rockwell, and Webster City.
