Sunday fire forces family from Webster City home
A fire at 1213 Meadow Lane, Webster City, forced its occupants out of the house Sunday afternoon as the building filled with smoke.
The Webster City Fire Department raced to the house just west of Sunset Heights Elementary School when the call came in shortly after 2:40 p.m.
A dog was still in the home when the fire was reported.
The home is registered to Leyver Vasquez Dominguez and Angelica Ferto Arcadio, according to the Hamilton County Assessor’s online records.
It is valued at $143,670, according to those records.
By 2:57 the WCFD reported that the dog was outside the residence and safe.
The cause of the fire was still being investigated at press time.
