The WC Cruisers, hosts of the Cruise to the Woods Car Show/Cruise, presented a donation of $1,000 to the Stratford Fire Department as a thank you for all their help with their show.

The Cruisers have also recently donated $500 each to the following:

. Upper Des Moines Opportunities Inc. in Hamilton, Humboldt and Webster counties;

. Webster City, Eagle Grove and Humboldt schools’ lunch programs to help feed children who cannot afford lunches;

. Paula Baber Hospice Home and Almost Home Humane Society.

. The Cruisers also gave $3,700 in scholarships to students in the Iowa Central Community College Diesel Technology and Auto Collision Technology courses who helped with parking cars at the 2022 Cruise to the Woods.

On October 1, the WC Cruisers will host the 40th anniversary of the Cruise to the Woods at Lizard Creek Ranch near Fort Dodge. With more than 1,400 cars attending in 2022, weather permitting this year could break all records. The club is hosting a 50s/60s dance that is open to the public at 7 p.m. on Saturday night, September 30, at Lizard Creek.
