City Council consider draft agreement for Wilson Brewer Park venture
The City Council of Webster City will meet Monday evening in the council chamber of City Hall, 400 Second St., Webster City.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m.
A portion of the meeting will be a discussion of the draft agreement with Hamilton County for Wilson Brewer Historic Park.
The draft 28E sets out proposed terms and provisions to create a separate legal entity under Iowa Code Chapter 28E to be known as the Wilson Brewer Park Commission. This would be a joint venture of the City of Webster City and Hamilton County.
The goal, the draft suggests, is to provide for the long-term sustainability of Wilson
Brewer Park, which is located in Webster City, according to the City Council information packet. Members of this venture will share in the responsibilities, financial and otherwise, associated with the park, “take steps to provide for the long-term sustainability, maintenance, growth, and improvement of the park, and provide for the supervision and management of the Commission by a board, elected by member residents.
