REVEALING HISTORY

— Daily Freeman-Journal photo by Tyler Anderson.

Inside of the Illinois Central Railroad Depot, located at Wilson Brewer Historic Park (220 Ohio St., Webster City), Ken Lundy — Webster City native, avid train enthusiast and amateur historian — pulls out custom made posters related to the railroads that crossed through the city on Wednesday afternoon. The framed works, along with an electrical box of the sounds of Morse code and locomotives, will be a permanent fixture within the museum.

Lundy, who currently resides in Savage, Minnesota, will be on hand to answer questions related to the Illinois Central, Chicago and Northwestern, and the Fort Dodge Line (also known as the Fort Dodge, Des Moines & Southern) railways from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday at the Depot.

Starting at $3.46/week.
