The project will, among other things, widen the road by a total of six feet, according to Biridiana Bishop, assistant city manager.
In addition, a sidewalk will be installed on the street’s north side.
The city still must acquire some additional right of way, she said.
But the broader spectrum of the Fair Meadow Drive Widening and Reconstruction project includes multiple other improvements, according to a memo included in the City Council meeting packet. They include:

Storm sewer repairs and replacements; and,
Construction staging and parcel access accommodations.
A project information meeting was held on Nov. 30 with five of the eight impacted property owners, according to the memo. They “were pleasantly in favor of the project.”
