Matthew Doran

Matthew Doran is the new assistant grocery manager at the Webster City Fareway store.

A native of Iowa City, he brings several years of management experience to his new position. He started his career in his teens.

“I knew a couple of guys at the store and they got me interested in Fareway,” he said. “I worked along side them and I decided to choose Fareway as my career.”

He’s worked at several different stores throughout the state of Iowa and Webster City makes the seventh store.

He and wife, Jackie, have a one-year old son and are expecting another child in January.

“Webster City is a very friendly Iowa town,” he said. Doran’s last few positions were in larger cities, so working in Webster City is a bit of a change.

“But from what I’ve seen, this is a really nice, friendly community,” he said.
