Recital will feature Prince of Peace’s pipe organ

FORT DODGE — Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1023 South 27th Street, Fort Dodge, will share the sounds of its organ with a special organ recital on Sunday, January 12.

This event begins at 2 p.m.

Steve Long, Prince of Peace’s organist, will present the recital. He has 45 years of experience bringing the organ to life. The recital will include classical, traditional pieces, and hymn-based selections. The congregation will be invited to join in several hymns.

Levsen Organ Company, of Buffalo, has completed the repair and upgrade of Prince of Peace’s pipe organ. The upgrade included a wide variety of sound adjustments that have added beauty to the hymns and liturgy played during worship at Prince of Peace. This includes the preludes and postludes.

The public is invited to join in this special event and celebration. A freewill offering will be accepted with the proceeds directed to the Prince of Peace Organ and Repair Fund. A time for fellowship and refreshments will follow the recital.

Starting at $3.46/week.
