Kendall Young Library has special programs planned for November
Kendall Young Library will be hosting a variety of special programs throughout November
Puzzle Competition (Age 12+) — Register for a fast-paced Puzzle Competition at the library. Teams of four will compete to finish the puzzle first. Be at the library on Saturday, November 2, beginning at 10:30 a.m. to be the team to finish first. Call or register online. This event is free. Teams of four must include a minimum of one adult.
Cold-Blooded Reptiles — Saturday, November 9, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, the library will be hosting Cold-Blooded Reptiles. A variety of reptiles will be present to experience and learn all about them and their adventures. This is a great family event and lunch will be provided.
Seniors Share — Back by popular demand, the library is hosting a Seniors Share event on Thursday, November 14, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Seniors are invited to gather and share a hobby, collection or short story with others. A time limit will be established based on interest. Patrons that would like to participate by listening are also invited.
August Green, Professional Storyteller — Join us at Southfield Wellness Center on Saturday, November 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. as we listen to the exciting stories from August Green. This event is jointly presented by Kendall Young Library and Southfield Wellness. Green has been described as, “A modern day Andy Griffith with a twist of Garrison Keillor.”
Adult Bingo — Join the library for an afternoon of BINGO. Adults are invited to play BINGO at KYL on Tuesday, November 26, from 1 to 2 p.m. There is no fee or registration required.

Adult Book Club — You can join the November Book Club discussion about the book “The Life We Bury” by Allen Eskens. Discussion is on Tuesday, November 12, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Adult Evening Book Club — You can join the adult evening book club discussion on the book “Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood” by Trevor Noah. Books are available at Kendall Young Library. Discussion is on Wednesday, November 13, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Books & Bourbon Silent Book Club — Kendall Young Library is working with Wildcat Distilling Co. to offer patrons a Silent Book Club. Adults are invited to gather at Wildcat Distilling Co. on Thursday, November 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Bring a book, grab a drink, and enjoy an introvert happy hour. This event will be held at Wildcat Distilling Co., 626 Second Street, Webster City and will be held the third Thursday of each month.
Adult DIY — Adult DIY is on Tuesday, November 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. You can make a bow wreath to help kick off holiday decorating. Bring a friend to this free event. No sign-up is required.
SPICE Club — Add some spice to your life in November with the Spice of the Month: ground mustard. Beginning Friday, November 1, samples will be available while they last.
