Council Bluffs man sentenced to life for killing neighbor
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - A Council Bluffs man convicted in the beating death of his neighbor has been sentenced to life in prison.
Kaine Dye was sentenced Monday in Pottawattamie County District Court. A jury found him guilty of first-degree murder following a trial last month.
Dye was charged with the January 2007 slaying of William Moser.
Authorities say Dye killed Moser three days after getting out of jail and stuffed his body in a trash can.
They say Dye stole Moser's truck and led deputies on a high-speed chase. The truck was later found near Missouri Valley. Moser's body and the trash can were found nearby.
