High water closes parts of Boone River trail

Portions of the Boone River Recreational Trail were closed Friday afternoon and over the weekend due to the recent heavy rains. At the right, the parking lot at Riverside Park was mostly underwater Sunday.  As of Sunday afternoon, the Boone River at Webster City was at 10.3 feet. Flood stage is 14 feet.
